The MCMTBC strongly encourages local mountain bikers to join the club. The benefits of joining the club are:
- MTBNZ affiliation
- Receive discount at club events.
- Receive 10% discount on products in store, parts & labour at Paul Wylie Cyclerama and Skinners Bikes, Mowers & Saws (excludes sale items and bikes - talk to the store for deals on bikes for members).
- Providing financial assistance towards track development and maintenance.
- Being on our club email list - which notifies you of club activities such as chocolate fish races, pump track challenges and skills sessions, working bees, club BBQ's etc.
- Member only skills sessions with an MTB Skills Coach from Christchurch
- Participation in surveys to have your say - on the direction of our events and track development.
- Give mountain bikers a strong unified voice in Mid Canterbury.

The Council permits the club to build and maintain trails. Without a local MTB club, access to the local trails is not guaranteed. If you are a local mountain biker and enjoy riding trails maintained by the Mid Canterbury Mountain Bike Club - please join the club!
Annual membership period is from October 1, 2017 to September 30, 2018.
Fees are: $25 per individual and $40 per family (this covers couples and their dependent children under the age of 18 living in the household).
