Chocolate Fish Races
NOTE: Summer Chocolate Fish races have commenced - every second Tuesday - meet at the Skills Area - Dobson St West.
Chocolate fish races are held throughout the year, with most races beginning at the skills area on Dobson Street West (under the pylons, next to ACL shingle supplies yard). Parking is available . Keep an eye on our Facebook page for race details.
The entry fee for current club members is $2 and non club members can enter for $5. (If you aren't a member, fill in the online form on the membership page and pay your sub via internet banking).
In the summer (daylight saving hours), the Chocolate Fish races are held fortnightly. Registration is from 6:00 - 6.15pm and racing starts at 6:30pm.
Over the winter months our Chocolate Fish Race format varies between a fortnightly night race on Wednesday evenings or a Sunday afternoon race and ride for all club members and their families, with registration from 2:30pm, and the race starting at 3:00pm
The course is approximately 10km and takes in the main parts of the single track that has been developed by the club and other community groups (see Tracks page for map). Racing formats vary with mass starts, handicaps, sealed handicaps and team races to keep things interesting.
All riders will receive a chocolate fish at the completion of their ride.
If you do not want to race and would rather ride the course you have the option of starting after the last racer has started.
Hope to see lots of you there!
